Al Barsha Notary: Get Your Document Notarised From Al Barsha
If you live or work in Al Barsha and need an Al Barsha notary, you have three practical routes. You can come to our in-house notary public at our Business Bay office, use our online notary public services, or ask for a home visit notary. The right one depends on your document and your day.
Most people lose time before they reach a notary, not at the notary. A blank field, a missing passport copy or an unsigned page can send a document back. Check the list below first.
Al Barsha Notary: Three Ways to Get It Done
We notarise your document at our Business Bay office. You can also use notary public services in person, online or at your home.
| Route | Use it when | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| In-house notary public, Business Bay office | You can travel and want to sign in person | Bring the document and your ID |
| Online notary public services | You cannot leave work or home | Send the document and your details |
| Home visit notary services | You or a family member cannot travel | Tell us your address and ask if a visit suits you |
Our office is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. WhatsApp and online requests are answered 24/7. We guide you on the right route for your Al Barsha notary request when you send the document.
What to Bring or Send
Your document needs to be ready before the notary sees it. Have these items together:
- The document, complete, with no blank fields and unsigned until the notary asks
- Your Emirates ID or passport
- A copy of any proof of authority, such as a company document, if you sign for a company
- The name of the person or office that will receive the document
- The country where the document will be used

If the document is in Arabic and will be used abroad, or in another language and used in the UAE, tell us. Translations for official use are done by a legal translator registered with the UAE Ministry of Justice, and we handle the translation for you.
Which Notary Does Your Document Need?
Dubai has a Government notary public at Dubai Courts and licensed private notaries on a roll kept by Dubai Courts. A private notary in Dubai is a lawyer licensed by Dubai Courts to carry out notarial acts. Notarial acts across the UAE are regulated by Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2022, and in Dubai by Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013.
Our page on private notary vs public notary shows which fits which document.
If your matter sits inside DIFC, the DIFC Courts notary service is the route for DIFC matters. If a country asks for its own embassy to attest, start there.

Can Notary Be Done Online?
Yes, for many documents. The UAE Ministry of Justice runs the E-Notary System for remote notarisation. We also offer online notary public services of our own. Read our guide to online notary in Dubai and our page on e-notary in Dubai.
If you want the notary to come to you, see our mobile notary services.
Fees
How Much Is a Notary Fee?
The federal notary fees are set by Cabinet Resolution No. 19 of 2024:
- General or special power of attorney: AED 100 per party
- Authenticating signatures on an instrument of unspecified value: AED 200 per party
- Executing and notarising an affidavit: AED 300
- Notarising a translation in the instrument: AED 50 per page
- Instruments above AED 100,000: 0.5% of the value, at most AED 30,000 (execution at most AED 15,000)
A private notary may add up to 30% as professional fees, so a power of attorney through a private notary under the federal schedule is AED 130 per party.
Translation, attestation and embassy fees are separate. If your document goes abroad, MOFAIC charges AED 150 for personal documents and AED 2,000 for commercial documents. We confirm our fee when you send the document. See notary public fees in Dubai for how the costs add up.
Documents for Use Abroad
The UAE is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention. A foreign document is attested in the issuing country, including the UAE embassy there, and then by MOFAIC in the UAE. Notarisation usually comes first. We take care of the attestation steps for you.
