Where notarisation happens in Dubai

Two kinds of notary operate in Dubai. Dubai Courts runs a government notary public counter, and separately there are private notaries: each one a lawyer licensed by Dubai Courts to act as a notary, and listed on a roll Dubai Courts keeps. With us, you do not need either counter: we prepare your document and paperwork, and our in-house notary public checks your ID, watches the signing, and applies the seal, at our office, online or at your home.

Areas we cover

Our office sits in Business Bay. If you cannot reach the office, see notary services at home for how a home or office visit works instead.

What to bring so one visit is enough

  • Original Emirates ID (residents) or original passport (visitors).
  • The document itself, in Arabic or bilingual Arabic and English. If you only have an English version, a legal translator registered with the UAE Ministry of Justice can prepare the Arabic text before your visit.
  • Any supporting paperwork, for example a trade licence for a company document, or a second signatory if the document needs one.

Fees

Cost and timing

How we help

How we help

An advisor going through documents with a client

There are three ways to get it done: in person at our Business Bay office with our in-house notary public, through our online notary public services, or on a home visit. We prepare, draft and translate your document before you arrive, so the notary is not doing paperwork you could have brought ready. Our in-house notary public then checks your ID, watches the signing, and applies the official seal. Yes, for some documents and signatories a home or office visit can be booked instead of an office appointment. See notary services at home for how that works.
